The Breathtaking City of Pines

     If you are looking for a summer getaway, one of your possible options would be Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. Why? Because most of the time, the weather is cold. You can even jog or take a walk around the city without thinking of sweating too much unlike if you are in the metro.

Kennon Road, this is the shortest access route to Baguio City.




Mines View Park, you can take a peek of the spectacular view of Benguet's gold and copper mines together with the Cordillera mountains. 



The Mansion,this is the official residence of the President of the Philippines during the summer. 



Session Road,this is known to be the main avenue of the city where different commercial centers are located.



Camp John Hay,this is said to be the most popular tourist destination in Baguio City.



Burnham Park, this is known to be the very heart of the city.



Philippine Military Academy, it is known of its long and brilliantly outstanding history of preparing only the best Filipino men for military service. 



Lourdes Grotto, this is the place where you can meditate while in the city.



Botanical Garden, a place where you can see the native houses of the different Cordillera tribes. 



Teacher’s Camp, a training center and venue for teachers from all over the Philippines who visit Baguio City during the summer.

Baguio City Market, a place where you can buy all your necessities like fruits, vegetables, wines and many more. Name it, city market has it all.



Baguio Cathedral, a majestic church located on top of a hill in the heart of the city, it is one of the more familiar icons of the city.



Wright Park, it features the "Pool of Pines" which is said to be the much photographed Baguio landmark.



Mount Santo Tomas, known as the highest peak of Baguio.



Bell Church, it features intricately designed arches and buildings adorned with flags, bells and dragons. 



Tam-awan Village, the best place for indigenous artists for its art gallery.





Wood Carver’s Village, exhibits the works of indigenous wood carvers. 



Easter Weaving Room, the best place if you want to see native fabrics and other handicrafts; you can also witness the actual process of weaving.



Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary, a place where you can simply enjoy the “nature”.



Balatoc Mines, if you want to become a miner for just a day then you should visit this place.



Crosby Park, the best place for hiking, camping, meditation, photography, picnics, sports exercises, walking, and other nature-based experiences.



The City of Pines is most visited in the month of February because of its annual celebration of the Panagbenga Festival or the Flower Festival where celebrities are also invited to grace the said occasion.











You can go to Baguio by land if the weather is good but it is best to travel by air during rainy season because the city already has the Loakan Airport.



Most of the hotels in the city are already wi fi zones that’s why it is also best if you bring with you your laptops so that you will still have an access to the internet while having your vacation and you can immediately upload your photos on facebook or blog your adventures and exciting experiences.

If you are into ukay-ukay, Baguio has a lot of them also.







The city has also schools for you to choose from if you’re thinking of studying here. Some of them are: University of the Philippinse (UP) -Baguio, St. Louis University (SLU), Philippine Military Academy (PMA), University of Baguio (UB), University of the Cordilleras (UC), 

One thing you must not forget when visiting the place is your camera so you can capture every moment.

You will enjoy every bit of your stay in the city because Baguio almost got it all for you.
